COACHING EDUCATION

About the Department

Our department was established to educate qualified professionals and managers needed in the rapidly developing and increasingly important field of sport sciences, and it implements a curriculum designed to achieve this objective. The curriculum is developed in line with the needs of the sector and includes theoretical courses such as movement and training science, exercise physiology, sports biomechanics, sports nutrition, talent identification in sports, anatomy and kinesiology, motor skill learning, sports psychology, and sports sociology, as well as practical courses in individual and team sports. The department aims to educate fully equipped coaches for the future. Through contemporary curricula supported by technological teaching tools and equipment, the Coaching Education Program seeks to make courses and practical training more efficient and effective for students.

Career Opportunities

Graduates of the Coaching Education Department may work at universities, local authorities, amateur and professional sports clubs, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and the central and provincial units of the General Directorate of Sports as sports specialists. They may also work as coaches and assistant coaches at schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education. In addition, graduates may work as athletic performance coaches for sports teams, personal trainers at private gyms and fitness centers, or as scouts and match performance analysts for professional and amateur teams.
