Our department implements a curriculum designed to educate qualified professionals and managers needed in the rapidly developing and increasingly important field of sport sciences. Recreation focuses on educating recreation leaders and specialists who will work in wellness and fitness centers, fitness and conditioning facilities, and indoor and outdoor sports venues, al of which have become integral parts of modern urban recreation. Students examine management theories, principles, and approaches while also learning training theories and methods, an important field within sport sciences. Unlike professionals who primarily focus on performance sports, graduates are prepared to become fitness and recreation specialists responsible for improving participants' quality of life and promoting lifelong sport and sport-for-al throughout society. The Recreation Program uses contemporary curricula supported by technological teaching tools and equipment to make courses and practical training more efficient and effective for students.

Graduates of the Recreation Department may work in tourism as recreation activity leaders in water sports, land sports, socio-cultural activities such as folk dances, dance, music, festivals, and exhibitions, recreational activities at health tourism facilities, and children's recreation programs. They may also be employed in industry, local authorities and municipalities, youth camps affiliated with the General Directorate of Sports, and universities.
The Recreation Department develops its curriculum in line with the needs of the sector. Through theoretical and practical courses such as Leisure and Recreation, Applied Common Elective Courses, Sociology of Leisure, Theatre and Drama Practices, Therapeutic Recreation, Camp Practice, Recreational Tourism, Rhythm Education and Dance, Entrepreneurship, and Risk Management, the department aims to educate fully equipped sports and recreation professionals for the future.
